Excursion 2: Salt damaged masonry in Copenhagen
9.00 Jesuskirken, Valby (The Jesus Church)
This church with its extravagant ornamentation - especially in the interior - it is unique among Danish church architecture of more recent times. It was built in 1884-91 in a style reminiscent of the early church with inspiration from France and Italy. Investigations of salt and driving rain in this historic church are in focus of the visit.
