Excursion 2: Salt damaged masonry in Copenhagen

9.00  Jesuskirken, Valby (The Jesus Church)
This church with its extravagant ornamentation - especially in the interior - it is unique among Danish church architecture of more recent times. It was built in 1884-91 in a style reminiscent of the early church with inspiration from France and Italy. Investigations of salt and driving rain in this historic church are in focus of the visit.

11.00  Sorte Hest, Vesterbro
The 200-year-old Sorte Hest (the Black Horse), a charming ochre building and former inn. The visit deals with investigations of salt and rising damp in this historic industrial building
